The ones I bought all had a cartridge loose inside, not pushed in and punctured, though. The ink color depends on the pen. It should roughly match the body color. The light blue ones have Blue Black, though.
Some sites like JetPens should list exactly which ink comes with each pen.
If yours came with the ink already in the feed then somewhere along the line someone had to have installed it manually.
I have a growing collection of cartridges since I only use converters.
