I certainly find his impulsive actions irretating and childish when he blocked substack links and mastodon links. It's definitely a toxic way of dealing with competition. Make a better product instead of trying to force people on your own platform.
I think he did revert on these mistakes, which still does not excuse the behavior - he shouldn't run things by mere impulse.
I don't know much about the advertising front. What i understood is that twitter did actually manage to break even for the first time in many years but i haven't looked much into the current financial situation. I think he is eagerly trying to make as much money from the platform, thus hiring a wef npc to make sure the platform will align more with the agendas and he can get his money back... But I'm just speculating here.
