If COVID didn't teach this already, here's another example of why you shouldn't trust the 'experts'
Danielle Boothm, former Federal Reserve advisor of 9 years to the Dallas Fed, posted this dumb take on Twitter. It has since been deleted.
These bonds are trading below par because interest rates have gone higher... not because the bond market knows anything. This is simple bond math:
If you issue a bond at X% rate, and market rates go higher, that bond must trade below par value.
