Tyshawn Sorey is one of the most interesting drummers you can hear. His latest trio recording Continuing is excellent, and he also appears on the new Vijay Iyer recording out this week. I used to see him often when I lived in CT and he was going to school in Weselyan for a post-grad degree in classical composition. I came across these photos of him I had taken in Hartford 10 years ago.
