Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Richard Marles, Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. The meeting, which took place during the Sheikh's working visit to Canberra, reviewed the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in several fields. The Sheikh emphasized that the relations between the United Arab Emirates and Australia are strong, developed, and distinct, and that both countries are keen to enhance their growth and development in all areas, in a way that supports their development goals. On the sidelines of the meeting, the Sheikh discussed with Penny Wong, Australian Foreign Minister, several common interest topics, and exchanged views on the latest developments and trends at the regional and international levels. The Sheikh also held a joint meeting with Don Farrell, Australian Minister of Trade and Tourism, and reviewed the efforts of the two countries to develop and enhance their joint cooperation, especially in economic, commercial, and development fields, in a way that achieves their mutual interests and enhances the prosperity and well-being of their people.
