5. Why *are* the lower classes siding with fascists? Why do "poor people vote against their own interests"? Here are some popular activist answers that are wrong:
a. Because they're ignorant. The right has cut government schooling, the source of valid knowledge, so they became sheeple. They don't know what's good for them. Poor dumb immigrants are voting for leopards, how sad that young girls are being such pick-mes. It is our burden, as the vanguard of correct political knowledge, to educate these unschooled masses; alas, for some reason they don't listen to us.
b. Because they're short-sighted to the point of evil. They're so attached to their petty privileges, that they would rather serve a dictator than just stop being a bigot. So they deserve the oppression that comes to them, it's just karma.
c. Because we are too poor. The fascists have money to throw at the problem, unlike us. I mean sure many of us have tech jobs or come from wealthy families or could marry someone to give them an EU visa, but the *real* money is on the side of the fascists, and money is what creates organisation apparently so we can't do it.
