I activated it years ago on 20 m with one of the worst antennas I've ever used. I had brought a dipole, but no support, hoping for a tree. Found grass only.
So the dipole feedpoint ended up on top of my day-backpack sitting in the grass, the dipole ends somehow tied to a fence a meter high or so.
It wasn't easy. I received 3X9 and 2X9 rprts. But I completed the activation and overall, it was a gorgeous day.
