When I was growing up my mother was big on inviting people to dinner and then sending them home with arm loads of food.
Sadly, her heart was in the right place, but her cooking skills were dismal. She learned to cook at Indian boarding school and our meals were something along the line of bad cafeteria food.
Someone needed to learn how to cook, so by the time I was eight, I was chief cook, and bottle washer.
I think lots of people were relieved.
So, now I still cook for as many people as I can. I'm sure it's genetic. Hopefully I am a better cook than my mom was.
Today, by request, cinnamon rolls are happening.
Here they are before they rise for the second time before baking.
