The Framers envisioned journalism as the watchdog of liberty, which is why The Press is the ONLY private enterprise specifically granted enumerated rights in the Constitution.
Two centuries later, and The Press has not only deliberately forgotten this in search of ever increasing CEO and stockholder paydays, but has actively allowed itself to become a tool of the very tyranny it once stood against.
