gnome really doesn't want you to use anything other than gnome-terminal. Last time I tried to switch terminals to something else in gnome (admittedly 2022), the only way to get another terminal to launch from the "open terminal here" link in nautilus involved a hacky change using that regedit-type-thing gnome has (gconf i think?). But if i know matt, you are probably using a non-default file manager too, so maybe it doesn't matter
