One of my best is powdered milk because it doesn't need refrigeration and will keep.
Matzo is good because it also keeps. Though making it taste good has it's own challenges, it's not impossible and often yummy.
Have salt or miso to do quick pickling is also good to have to keep and save food.
I found SPAM too salty, and I like salty things, but some love it.
I'd like to try salt cod, bc that's another food not requiring refrigeration.
