You either spend $1500+ for a painted assembled army or you buy one piece at a time. Eventually you start rationalizing 3D printers. After all non tourny events you can run the knock of minis without much flak. So now you have that cost olus materials, and I can make custodes, and space marine armies in bulk, maybe even a titan? Did I mention the paint and it's related supplies? Trust me if I spent the same on my wife as I do on 40k, she'd probably still be "up ons" as we speak.
