I was actually just pondering whether the easier sell for the Eugens of the ecosystem would be slapping a plugin system onto the ingress and egress flows and letting folks write custom decision engines.

Frankly, part of me thinks either Mastodon figures out how to embrace this sort of modularity throughout its stack or someone else will.
