When your worm bin is ready for harvest you need to get a sifter to collect your vermicompost. You should get 2 of those.
One to separate the worms from your casting. The worms will stay in the sifter and you can put them back to work in a new bin or in the same bin.
The other one to separate the cocoons from the casting. When those cocoons have the right conditions it will allow you to have more worms.
