The richest companies in the world are tech companies, and they're every bit as bad as oil companies were when they were the world's richest.
You know what doesn't have these flaws? FOSS. Gimp, Krita, DaVinci Resolve, LibreOffice, Linux, Calibre, PostgreSQL, etc.
There are apps that don't have exact parallels on the Linux stack, surely. But not that many, and usually you can find a workaround.
95% of what I do, I don't need Windows. Nor do you, in all likelihood.
