I have recently published the source code for nostr-commits (npub1qqq…c28r) on GitHub, which you can find at https://github.com/gourcetools/nostr-commits.
You can customize the code to monitor the activity of a specific GitHub user, a particular repository, or even follow general tag activity (such as what this bot does for the #nostr tag, although it can be easily fooled and may not be the most optimal approach).
