The cloud almost looks like a thought bubble above the ridge, as if the landscape has something to say, but only softly, to itself. A quiet scene, almost meditative. I significantly reduced the saturation here to emphasize the calm and understated nature of the scene. Otherwise, it feels too bold and overpowering, which I find myself liking less and less in photos. I’m not innocent of that, far from it, but you learn—or rather, you change.
