🙋🏻 Why badges?
The median Geyser user funds 6 times and want to signal that they are supporting a bitcoin cause.
This is why we thought of badges. But centralized badges suck:
❌not interoperable
❌ can be revoked
❌ creators cannot issue them
❌ you don't really own them
🦩 Nostr fixes this
Badges on Nostr allow us to build a decentralized socio-symbolic recognition layer:
✅ Contributors own their badges
✅ Contributors can visibly display their badges across platforms
✅ Platforms can reward
✅ Creators can issue their own badges
