I’m genuinely curious:
Personally I find online “rewards” (badges etc.) very annoying, even condescending. Examples: Redddit and Duolingo. Using these services should be (and is) intrinsically fun. IMO, there is no need to add anything.
But people must also like them or they would be removed as a feature(?) If you do like them, I’d love to know why: Do they make the services more fun for you?
