Biggest problem is Debian falling behind - not an issue for most server software but it is a problem for PHP where the version in Debian is lower than that supported by many libraries (I always support Debian stable, but most devs seem to charge ahead at warp 10).
Not bothered about Snaps - that seems to be an option and mostly aimed at desktops.
