I’d be willing to bet most of the people buying in Seattle are still coming from places like SF where things look like a deal. The math doesn’t work otherwise. Hell, Amazon had a pay cap of like $160k just until a couple years ago.
I’m originally from the Midwest. A majority of the people I know who moved west on the 2010s are now moving back with big down payments.
