Being in Thailand for over a month I can understand why such a plan is being proposed without much citizen uprising. Thai people are extremely kind but on the opposite end of that do not like getting involved in confrontation and try to maintain peace as much as possible. And well governments take advantage of everything they can, even the people's kind heartedness.
With that being said, I hope the Thai people wake up to this ridiculousness and embrace Bitcoin because I think Thailand has great potential in being the first Southeast Asian country to adopt the Bitcoin standard.
JUST IN: Under the proposed plan, every 🇹🇭 Thai citizen older than 16 with a digital wallet app on their phone would receive $280 worth of #CBDC 👀
However they have to spend it within six months and also within a 4-kilometer radius of their residence. 😮
