Have we finally accepted that “waiting a long time for a doctor’s appointment” is not a function of government-funded medicine? My mom has a torn meniscus that means she can barely walk, despite a job that requires her to be on her feet all day, and her next appointment is in over a month. Meantime it’s not going to get better on its own, because there’s no blood flow to the torn area. So she just has to suffer. Our #healthcare system should be renamed our suffering system.
