I don't know about that.
See retro games made by one or two folks.
Compare to modern games with hundreds.
Even the bad retro games had more soul than most modern games with huge teams.
Too many cooks in the kitchen I guess.
Otoh, I suppose that's more about who controlls the keys. Linux has been doing pretty well.
