The problem with having a mastodon full of retrotech geeks and a Tumblr full of weird trans people is that sometimes you'll look at mastodon and see someone commenting from their Mac 128k, then you go over to Tumblr and see some half naked person with a complicated gender pretending to hump their Mac SE
And the contrast is somewhat unsettling
