To be fair, I don't think Wavlake was a "nostr app" to begin with, they added nostr support afterwards. I l
means (nprofile…fc59) can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that it's first and foremost a value for value app (aka lightning support), allowing musicians an alternative place to host music and tools to get support directly from fans.
With lighting support and custodial wallets they have so many challenges to overcome. Surethis will get easier with bolt 12, when they can move away from custodial.
Then there's the issue of hosting, also centralized. Another thing that will also hopefully become more decentralized with blossom etc.
These are huge issues to solve.
Looking forward to seeing what alternatives the community can build, I just haven't seen it yet personally.
