I joined my husband in the hot tub after my swim. I told him I'd done 35 laps then said, OMG--that's a mile. I made him check my math (10 crawl + 1 backstroke + 10 + 1 backstroke + 13 w/ #6 a backstroke). Multiply that by 50. Yep--1750 yds, plus my cooldown lap, and that's over 1760, a mile.
I've been trying to get back to a mile since I hurt my back in June and wound up in the ER. Then ailments that kept me out of the pool. Today, I did it.
Everyone near the hot tub knew that. 😊
