A lot of perspective has been lost since 2010, when these Bitcoins had never knowingly been exchanged for anything out in the real world.
Laszlo should be celebrated for being the pioneer that he was.
I think people - especially relative noobs - also forget how much foresight and conviction it took to hodl through the last 14 years.
It wasn't as easy to get Bitcoin in the early days. Then were doubts about it making it through the first Halving, then the Blocksize Wars, as well as many other "Bitcoin is dead" moments.
I'm pretty sure many of us have been in a position where life events cause us to sell up, which seemed like a good idea at the time because we really needed the cash. But it's easy in hindsight to say that was probably a mistake.
Hey. There are so many shoulda, woulda, coulda moments looking back. But life is a journey, it's got us here, and we're hopefully always learning from those 'mistakes'. The harshest lessons are often the ones in which we learned the most.
It is what it is. There is no going back, only forward with knowledge from the past.
