As with everything else, the polluters imagine having wealth & privilege will insulate them and the few they DO care about, from the consequences of their greed. When you’re talking about the potential destruction of human existence, I don’t think so!
We may not live to see it — me because I’m old, others because the catastrophes the polluters have unleashed will kill the less fortunate first. But it will eventually get to them, and it will be a lonely death!
