I do think this has created a great opportunity for young people who realize college is generally a waste of money. The pilot shortage has led to airlines creating or sponsoring flight training programs for new pilots. You can literally show up with 0 hours and get to 1500 in a couple years, and it will not cost too much out of pocket if you go on to be hired by the airline who sponsors the program.
