JanKotas (npub1tp6…5hhr) and I are both excited and encouraged by the growth of our #bitcoin community here in Asuncion, Paraguay 🇵🇾

At our monthly #meetup this past Saturday, we had 118 plebs attend… yes, that is an accurate count 🫨 we had security at the door scanning people in vía QR code and giving out wristbands.

I presented in Spanish for the first time (nerve wracking) about why you should save in Bitcoin, even if it is only a small amount… and Jan gave a great lightning ⚡️ tutorial presentation where we onboarded new plebs who never had a Bitcoin Lightning Wallet before

We are onboarding new local businesses every week. At the moment, in Asuncion, you can pay with bitcoin to:

- get residency
- stay in a hostel
- rent a car
- rent an apartment
- get a haircut/styling
- hire a builder
- repair or service your MacBook or iPhone
- learn business English
- go to the dentist
- pay a handyman to come install or fix anything you need

Every month that list gets a new service or product added to it as our pleb army grows and steadily orange-pills businesses in our local community.

Next week we are having a workshop on Vexl, an app that helps connect people to trade P2P
