I like that Old World focuses on what is usually my favourite era in Civilization-like games.
I only tested it superficially and got a bit overwhelmed by all the mechanics (especially the ones related to the leaders), but I still plan to get back to it when I have more free time to actually learn the mechanics it adds/changes compared to the Civilization series.
