I'm not sure it's fully implemented yet, but theoretically you could post media by it's hash, then a client could grab it from a blossom server that had the content. Torrent hashes are a similar concept, where I don't need an actual torrent file, just it's hash, and the torrent information can be obtained from the DHT.
