Once a week or so I turn MSNBC on to peek at TV news. Usually at the first commercial I turn it off. For one thing, TV news is usually so content-light that it's a waste of time. But what really chases me off is the ratio of ads to 'content'. Remember "zero-tolerance'? That's me and TV ads. I have an 'ad' allergy. (New word: adallergy?)
I'll take 14 million Mastodon users to zero ads any time. Better experience in every possible way. 👍 👍
