She looked long into the abyss. The tank was several million cubic meters of the Ijren life medium. Ijreni was a planet without land. It was a single ocean of something we'd call amniotic fluid. If we found some spilled on the ground we'd think someone's water broke. But this was where every living thing on Ijran Prime lived and died.
The Ambassador coalesced as she watched. streams of fluid gathered and layered themselves until she was facing a humanoid.
The abyss stared back.
