Strongly recommend using the Pixel 8a. It has proper privacy/security patches and has the current GrapheneOS releases based on Android 15 QPR2. We've made a lot of improvements since October 2024 ourselves. Android 15, Android 15 QPR1 and Android 15 QPR2 also made a lot of improvements.
6th gen Pixels also moved to a much better secure element and 8th gen onwards have much better security with GrapheneOS due to hardware memory tagging. 7 years instead of 3 years of support too.
