Speaking as a physicist with a PhD:
We #STEM folks should really stop assuming that some amazing piece of tech we might invent will somehow magically solve our world's problems. Solving the world's problems will ALWAYS require social change, and if we don't understand society, we will fail.
So respect the Liberal Arts, damnit!
