I was at a community meeting tonight in my town to discuss conservation of our local natural resources.
Some solutions offered and seemingly well-received included:
- more government control
- wealth redistribution
- land redistribution
- and depopulation
So. That's where we are now.
I was the only one speaking about resource regeneration, wildlife habitat development, and restoration of agricultural infrastructure to empower land stewards with economic incentive.
One other participant offered the creation of "local money." Which I loved and goes right along with my idea for a local farmers #fedimint.
Why are humans so predictable? Can we not break this pattern?
