1. Clip art is made by a human who (hopefully) got paid for it. AI art is stolen wholesale.
2. Clip art is honest about its nature. If it’s crappy, it looks crappy. If it’s good, it looks good. AI art often looks good, but is crappy. It’s dishonest; it overpromises and underdelivers.
3. Clip art is intentional human communication, and thus has some inherent value, no matter how minuscule. AI art communicates nothing, and means nothing. People assemble collections of clip art; no one will assemble a collection of AI art, because they have no inherent worth.
