My dad reseeded a section of his lawn recently. He used compost he made last year. When the new grass began filling in, so did something that I noticed resembled tomato starts.

When they became big enough, I pulled them up carefully and repotted them. Seventy-five percent have survived, of the ones I was able to reach without disturbing the young grass.

Hoping these five live through the heat wave! It's a little late to start toms, but still fun.
