Saw a post somewhere about a guy running Bitcoin Core from his SanDisk Extreme SSD. What a great idea. Synced mine up the last few days.
Everywhere I go now, I have a portable node. Takes a few seconds to sync, and just plugs in via USB-C and don't have to trust anyone else's node ever.
I've toyed with using my own electrum server served out on the open internet, but I much prefer using a home node.
