"content": "Tried a thing that has been on my to-do list for ages: listening to the signal that the BITX40 puts out! Here I transmitted into a dummy load and let the QMX pick up the RF using a small wire.\n\nHere's an audio recording: https://raek.se/dump/bitx40_audio_test.mp3\n\nA good thing is that the BITX40 both has a trimpot for the IRF510 bias *and* for pre-driver gain. That way I should be able to transmit at power levels below 7 watts too. The MINIPA70 power amp I'm building can't handle 7 watts on it's input, IIRC, so it's great that I can turn it down a bit.\n\n#AmateurRadio #HamRadio\nhttps://media.tilde.zone/media_attachments/files/113/795/108/088/087/674/original/9e55e13ad2dfe55d.jpg\n",
