Something occurred to me. One issue I have with Nostr stuff outside of X/Twitter clones is the lack of context.

Like I tried a chat app on my site early on for my peeps. It worked ON THE SITE but put random comments into feeds, so I shut it down. Same thing when I connected to Fountain, I make a comment like, "really great episode" and it shows in my feed with no context to people using something like Primal or Damus.

Now telegram has been hit by the state arresting the founder. We have also learned it is mostly because he told the CIA to get fucked when they wanted a back door into it.

So I know, "wen TG clone on Nostr" but when can we do that in a way the makes fuckin sense? I don't want 50 comments a day in my feed to my people like, "consider Jersey giant chickens" with no context. I don't want to look at your feed like that either. Seeing your comments about some video game with again no context. How do I even know it is a game.

What occurred to me though is DMs already do this. If I DM someone it doesn't show in my feed, so can't we just use the DM side and expand it to do like "groups" and make a TG clone right now.

I am no dev so I know I don't know how much shit goes into it but it feels half way there already to me.

I do know unless we can fix the large macro issue, all these apps connecting to Nostr, like Fountain will simply not get used and do more harm then good.
