(Q1) What happens if a mathematician inverts the SHA-256 hash function?

TL;DR: Even if a quantum computer could theoretically hack/invert the hash function or overcome the digital computation constraint, nothing can physically bypass the energy constraint also required by the worldwide electrical grid to break/fork the blockchain network.
