Pay part reminds me, you had that with NetBSD Foundation at some point, right?
And so far I haven't really found good ways to fund/pay ongoing maintenance, without ending up with something either job-related or with support contracts (which I feel like typically ends up with enterprise distro stuff like backporting to EOL versions).
