raystorm i'm familiar with and it looks like it was also called rayforce, which is vaguely familiar.
looks like it's available with its sequels in steam as Ray'z Arcade Chronology but sadly it's not playable on GeForce Now. There's also a PS4 port but my son has absconded with that console 😅
Might have to wait until I can get my desktop reconfigured to try it out. Steam currently doesn't work for me due to some weirdness from my tinkering.
