It's not a pipedream with the use of activitypub that function which federates mastodon, matrix, misskey, & other fediverse softwares. Someone could make a new wikiweb script with activity pub implemented to work with creating a fediverse wiki. Sites can copy the info make corrections to info on other peoples instances through a system.
It's possible just someone has to make it. Mediawiki was made in 2002 so something new has to come out with the modern innovation of fediverse.
