I agree with you. I think there is a subconscious hunger for beautiful and lasting structures. America and Canada in particular have been overrun with ugly and low quality structures. It’s demoralizing and is a drag on inspiration. I think aesthetics are important.
I’m already looking into rebranding my custom home company as something like “Sound Standard Custom Homes” or something along those lines with a stated goal of building more durable and aesthetic custom homes.
