"As soon as good habits serving automatic existence begin to take root in the ordinary life of a collective, that dreadful process immediately begins, which either completely destroys these good habits or leads to the point where, due to the mentioned trait of the being of that group, they are influenced by beings of another group, which have nothing in common with those that influenced them before. And thus, all the moral customs and habits acquired over centuries quickly give way to 'new' ones, which, in most cases, are hastily put together and are only suitable, as they say, 'for the present day.'"
