Biocharged Compost
Anaerobic conditions promote non-beneficial organisms so should be avoided. In compost piles, too much moisture (promoting anaerobic conditions) is mitigated by the addition of biochar as it adsorbs moisture and allows the compost to breathe (inter-pile air flow).
A typical, fungal rich compost recipe:
10% manure
40% green material (fresh cut grass)
50% brown material (woody)
